Seeking Joy

When you said "Seek my face", My heart said, "Your face, Lord, I will seek." And it is there I find joy! Psalm 27:8

A much overdue visit to these grandchildren awaits us soon! It's been almost a year! Andrea and Sarah have never been out of the state, so we are going to Disneyland!!! Hurraaaay!!! They are so looking forward to it. And we will stay at Melissa's the rest of the time. The neat thing is my sister is living with my daughter during the week so we can visit her as well. It will be a great family reunion. And it may be the last few days we have with the girls so we plan to make the best of it. Their mom MAY be ready to try to get them back then, but who knows. We just live one week at a time, and make the best of it.

Even greater news is that they (Andrea and Sarah) wish to be baptized! Baptism classes will be held after church this Sunday and they will then be baptized a week and a half later on a Wednesday evening. I'm so excited!!

As you can see I've had my hands very full recent weeks. Sarah is in band, Andrea has been getting counseling, they both love to attend youth group on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings. Andrea is learning how to cook, and they are both (attempting to) learn to be organized and clean. Since Spring is sprung, Andrea is tanning in the backyard. Sarah is getting ready for 3 marching band parades next month. Good shoes are a must there! And Roxy, she is growing and loving this weather. Many new holes in the back yard are evidence she has lots of energy.

Of course our lives are constantly changing, and it is just a reminder we are "sojourners on this earth" awaiting a new home in heaven. All that is required is that we keep our eyes on the Shepherd as we sojourn here. He is leading the way home! I'm reading a book by Randy Alcorn, "In Light of Eternity", perspectives on heaven. Very encouraging and insightful!! The girls have been asking lots of questions about heaven, so I figured I needed some help on the subject. I'd recommend it, it's helped me to understand it better myself. Well more to come, and please comment if you read, let me know how you are doing as well! I'm off to enjoy this 78 degree sunny Spring day.......
